Upcoming shows on GMA for the Year 2009

Limang bagong palabas ang dapat abangan ng mga manonood sa GMA-7 sa pagpasok ng year 2009. Mauuna rito ang Sine Novelang Paano Ba Ang Mangarap? dahil sa early part ng January na ito ipapalabas. Among the four primetime teledramas, mauunang mapanood ang Ang Babaing Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang, then All About Eve, Totoy Bato and Zorro.

PAANO BA ANG MANGARAP? For the first time, magkakasama-sama ang first batch ng StarStruck Ultimate winners na sina Mark Herras at Jennylyn Mercado at ang grand winner ng Star Circle Quest na si Hero Angeles. Kasama rin nila sina Tirso Cruz III at Bing Loyzaga sa ilalim ng direksyon ni Joel Lamangan.

Sa ngayon, naka-hold ang pagsisimula ng taping ng Sine Novela dahil priority ni Direk Joel na tapusin nito ang first movie together nina Richard Gutierrez at KC Concepcion for GMA Films and Regal Entertainment, ang When I Met You na ipapalabas sa buwan ng mga puso sa February 2009.

Ang Babaing Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang. Based on a graphic novel created by Carlo J. Caparas, malamang na ito ang last project ng love team nina Dingdong Dantes at Marian Rivera. Ang Babaing Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang ay muling ididirek ng paborito nilang direktor na si Bb. Joyce Bernal. Nag-training muna si Marian ng boxing dahil may pagka-action ang role niya at may pagka-sexy rin. Hindi pa sila nagsisimulang mag-taping dahil may mga requirements pa si Direk Joyce, like gusto niya ay mansion talaga ang gagamiting bahay ni Dingdong dahil rich talaga ang character nito. Problema pa rin ang paa ni Marian na dapat ay magaling na magaling na dahil kailangan nga niya na laging kumikilos, umaakyat sa puno, pumapakabila sa bakod. Hindi pa rin pwedeng magsuot ng high heels ngayon ni Marian.

Magsisimula silang mag-taping sa January 6, 2009 at may pilot telecast ito ng first week of February.

ALL ABOUT EVE. An adaptation of the Koreanovela All About Eve, tampok nito ang matalik na magkaibigan na sina Sunshine Dizon at Iza Calzado, pati na rin sina Jean Garcia at Eula Valdez. Subalit, sa local version ng istroyang ito, magkalaban sila. Si Richard Gomez pa lamang ang male member ng cast, sorpresa pa raw ang isa pang lead star. Direk Gil Tejada will start taping sa last week of January 2009. Early March 2009 na ang pilot nito.

TOTOY BATO. Isa pang nobela ni Carlo J. Caparas ay ipapakita sa telebisyon matapos itong gampanan sa pelikula ng yumaong Fernando Poe Jr. Sa TV adaptation, si Robin Padilla ang unanimous choice ni Direk Carlo at special request naman ni Robin na si Regine Velasquez para makatambal niya dahil isang singer ang role na gagampanan ng Asia's Songbird. Nag-training si Robin ng iba't ibang martial arts bukod sa boxing. Makakasama rin dito ang Pambansang Kamao na si Manny Pacquiao at ang eldest daughter ni Robin na si Queenie. Tulad ng Joaquin Bordado, si Mac Alejandre pa rin ang magdidirek ng Totoy Bato na may tentative pilot week sa February 2009.

ZORRO. May pagka-fantasy ang bagong serye na sisimulan ni Richard Gutierrez, pero kailangan muna niyang tapusin ang When I Met You Valentine movie nila ni KC Concepcion bago siya mag-concentrate sa bago niyang project. Kailangan din kasi niyang mag-training nang husto sa fencing. Although kailangan nito ang husay sa pangangabayo, hindi naman problema iyon kay Richard dahil bata pa siya, marunong na siyang sumakay sa kabayo. Sa ngayon, wala pa kaming alam kung sino ang bago niyang leading lady dahil bawal pa raw sabihin kung sino. Either late April or early May 2009 ang pilot telecast ng Zorro.

Abala pa rin si Richard ngayon sa taping ng kanyang Full Force Nature na napapanood every Tuesday sa GMA-7 pagkatapos ng Koreanovelang Money War.

Twilight? Filipino Version???

Rayver Cruz will star as Edward Cullen and Shaina Magdayao as Isabella Swan in the local television version “Twilight.” The hit vampire novel has been bought by ABS-CBN has bought for more than US$1 million with Ignite Media as co producer. The taping is set to start next year by Feb. in Baguio, Tagaytay, Bukidnon with some parts to be shot abroad. To be directed by Cathy Garcia Molina, the TV adaptation will focus on Edward and Bella’s love story to be treated as drama, romance and fantasy. The unofficial cast includes Valeen Montenegro as Alice Cullen, Gabby Concepcion as Dr. Carlisle Cullen, Luis Manzano as Emmett Cullen, Al Tantay as Charlie Swan, Yayo Aguila as Renee Dwyer, Fred Payawan as Jacob Black, Carlos Ag***i as James, Chin Chin Gutierrez as Esme Cullen, Karylle as Rosalie Hale, Joross Gamboa as Jasper Hale, Jessy Mendiola as Jessica Stanley, Empress Schuck as Angela Weber, Brad Murdoch as Laurent, Nikki Bacolod as Victoria and Aaron Villaflor as Mike Newton. Rayver and Shaina were former love team partner but the tandem did not work. It seems their tandem will click in “Twilight.”
